To The Hon Zo. S. Cook, Judge of said Court:
Under and by virtue of a Commission issued and addressed to the undersigned by your Honor directing us to sell certain negroes; to wit: Clarissa and her two children for the purpose of division among the heirs at Law of Mary E McConnico dec'd, we the undersigned Commissioners beg to report that in pursuance of the terms of said Commission, we did on Monday the 7th day of September 1857 at 12 o clock, M. sell at public outcry before the Court House door of said county the property described in said Commission to C.L. McConnico, who was the highest bidder fro the same, for the sum of fifteen hundred and sixty five dollars and sum being the highest bid made at said sale, that said sale was in all respects fairly made , and that J.R. Hawthorn as Administrator of said C.L. McConnico, who died since said sale has complied with the terms of said sale by paying to the undersigned the whole of said purchase money with interest accruing which said interest is to be seen in the account hereto attached, and that said money is now held in the hand of the undersigned as directed by said commission forthe purpose of being distributed among the parties interested according to law and the orders of this Court.

Said Commissioners having fully complied with the terms of said Commission, beg to report the foregoing and the account hereto attached to the judgment and further order of your Honor as a correct statement of their action in the premises, and to ask that they may have a reasonable allowance for their services and that they may be ordered to divide said fund according to law.
